Adverse Weather

In Case of Weather:

Experiencing the changing weather is one of the joys of an extended canoe camping trip. We paddle rain or shine. Nothing can match the serenity of watching a light rain on a flowing river.

That being said, trips will be called off and payments returned if temperatures fall below 35F or if the National Weather Service declares a Severe Weather Watch. Likewise if severe weather or another emergency occurs while already on the water we may opt to end the trip early and disembark at the first available boat launch rather than reaching our final destination.

“Rivers flow not past, but through us, thrilling, tingling, vibrating every fiber and cell of the substance of our bodies, making them glide and sing.”
-John Muir
