Black Lives Matter

We know that all things are connected and even as a canoe camping experience we unfortunately operate within a larger framework of systemic racism of our culture. Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities do not always have the same access to opportunities for outdoor recreation. It is our goal to share the wonders of the Pascagoula Watershed with everyone equally. Our trips are open to people of all races, genders, faiths, sexual orientations. Their is no place for discrimination on our trips or on the river.

We welcome BIPOC individuals on all our trips. If it is more comfortable or necessary to create a safe space, we also book entire trips exclusively for BIPOC individuals.

“A river is water is its loveliest form; rivers have life and sound and movement and infinity of variation, rivers are veins of the earth through which the lifeblood returns to the heart.”
